​Welcome to Whangaparaoa School. We are located 40 minutes from Auckland on the stunning Hibiscus Coast. We are fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful beaches and a supportive community. Our school is known as a warm, welcoming and friendly place to be.

Our school is focused on ensuring students receive the very best learning opportunities to prepare them for their future. 


Classes are from Year 1 to 6, providing for students from 5 to 11 years with a current roll of around 750 students.

Students are not allowed at school before 8.30am or after 3.15pm. Before and After School care is available for those families who have commitments that require children to be at school outside of these hours.

8:30am Bell- Students can enter the school grounds 

8:55am Bell – school starts

10:50am Playtime & supervised eating

11:30am Resume classes

1:00pm Playtime and supervised eating 

1:40pm Resume classes

3:00pm School ends​

With a highly qualified teaching staff and classroom assistants in all classrooms, our children are very well catered for and offered extensive opportunities to be challenged within the curriculum and in the areas of their passions.
