New Entrant Procedures and Enrolments
NEW ENTRANTS
Starting school for the first time is an important event in both your child's life and yours, especially if it is your first child to start. In order to make the transition to school life easy and comfortable, you are asked to bring your child to an orientation morning prior to their starting date. You are also invited to bring your child for one or two classroom visits in the weeks before they start school. This gives both you and your child a chance to become familiar with the environment, routines, staff and other children.

If you have pre enrolled our Team Leader in charge of liaison with new entrant families is Nicola Winter and she can be contacted at nwinter@wgp.school.nz
Orientation starts at 9.00am in the staffroom.
After an introduction the children will be taken to a classroom to participate in activities while parents stay in the staffroom for a presentation.
NEW ENROLMENTS
For all other new enrolments please contact the school office to arrange a meeting with the Principal - Tel: 09 424 9029
You will need to collect an enrolment form from the school office prior to your visit.
Please return your completed forms along with:
- Child's original birth certificate and passport
- Proof of in-zone residential address eg: sale and purchase agreement, rates demand, power bill. A current proof of in-zone address
will be required when your child starts school.
Please note: The Ministry of Education requires children to remain in zone once enrolled.
