Introducing Mrs Jo White:

Year 13 Dean and Head of Learning of Drama, Dance, Art and Music at Whangaparaoa College .

We have a vibrant performing arts community at Whangaparaoa College and look forward to new students joining us from Whangaparaoa Primary.
I have directed the Whangaparaoa College School Productions including Oliver, High School Musical, Mystery at Shady Acres and the up-coming " Who's Dying to be a Millionaire" opening the night after the Gala!! Tickets available for sale just before Idol @ Gala.  I have run the Stage Challenges at Whangaparaoa College over the last few years with a second and third placing at the Auckland event.  High School Musical received 14 nominations for awards at the Showdown Awards in Auckland.  These nominations were across many and varied categories.
I was involved in performing arts at Whangaparaoa Primary in a variety of ways, Productions, Stage Challenge, etc.
I have been involved in Theatre for many years, starting at Peninsula Players when I was a young girl and being involved in Auckland and Tauranga Theatres in various productions; some of them "Annie", "The Fantastics", "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum"
Was involved in Television work when I was younger having parts in a Family drama series, small parts in a couple of films, commercials and co-hosted a Children's TV show for a year.  Interesting as we had live animals on the set and the goat would always eat my paper with my lines on it!!!!

Mike has been in show business for a great part of his life.  He started playing drums in bands at sixteen and played in professional touring bands in the 70s and 80s.  Bands such as Freeway, Pawn and Skylord.  During these times he toured extensively and also backed both local and international artists.

Mike now plays Congas, Hand Drums and Percussion and also sings.  His 'Edna' act is becoming popular and 'she' appears at weddings, private parties and is looking to branch out into the corporate sector.   She certainly brings the house down with her style of comedy.
