PFA Meeting Tuesday 26 September

BOT Meeting Wednesday 27 September

Dear Parents and Students,

Check out the information on our Performing Arts and Cultural Festival next week. You will need to be in quick to secure tickets at 8.30am next Monday morning in the Library. To ensure as many families as possible get a chance to watch the children over the two performances, we are limiting the number of tickets we sell to each family to 4. If there are extra tickets left after the Tuesday morning sales we will let our families know for purchase on Wednesday. There will be no door sales.

Enrolment Scheme
Our school currently operates an enrolment scheme to prevent overcrowding. If you know someone who would like their child or children to attend our school, out of zone enrolment applications will be available from Friday 22nd of September through to Friday 20th of October. This opportunity will be for the 2018 school year. There are limited places available. Please email pa@wgp.school.nz for an application, a description of our zone and the ministry criteria for accepting an out of zone enrolment.

Mumps
Just making you aware that there has been a suspected case of Mumps in Orewa. Please see the attached file which highlights signs and symptoms, protection from others and immunisation information.

Spraying
The school will be carrying out our annual school field commercial weed spraying for onehunga weed (prickles). This is intended to be carried out between 5-00pm & 6-30pm Thursday 21 September, weather dependant. All field areas are off limits to all. Signage will be put up prior to spraying.

Mufti Day Reminder
Whole school mufti day tomorrow. Come in Mufti and donate one can of food (eg: spaghetti, peaches, soup .....) to help fill the Salvation Army food banks for our local community.

Have a great week everyone
Kevin
