Come and talk about the Whangaparoa School Bike Track We are looking for 10-12 parents/whānau members to take part in a discussion about the school bike track. It will be like a group conversation, and will focus on your perceptions, experience, and perceived benefits for your children. Your feedback will be used to evaluate and improve the Bikes in Schools initiative across New Zealand (this is part of an evaluation run by Mackie Research). All participants will receive a $30 grocery voucher!Time and place: 2pm-3pm on Wed 22 August Whangaparaoa Primary School If you are interested, please contact greer@mackieresearch.co.nz or 022 6018809. A COURTEOUS REQUEST
We have 2 children in wheelchairs who are dropped off daily at 9 am by a large taxi van. The only area that is safe for them to
be dropped off is in the area in front of the hall where the gate is. We kindly ask that this area be kept free for the van
to park so that the driver can safely operate the hoist and lift. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
SUMMER DRESS AND SHIRT UNIFORM ORDER We will be placing another Summer Dress and Summer Shirt uniform order on Monday 13 August. The summer shirts are $38 and the dresses are $65. These are a pre-paid item. The shirts and dresses will arrive in approximately 5 weeks from when the order is placed ready for Term 4. If you wish to purchase either of these items please fill out an order form and make payment at the school office. No late orders will be accepted. Thanks. NETBALL TOURNAMENT NEWS Our annual Primary Schools netball tournament is fast approaching. Scheduled for next Tuesday 7 August. It is shaping up to be another biggie with amazing spot prizes, refreshments plus awesome netball guaranteed! All players from Year 4-6 teams should have now returned their completed permission slips to the office. As our only fundraiser for the year, we are asking for assistance from each netball family to provide home-baked goodies to sell via the Canteen as well as feeding the umpires. In addition, we need help to man the canteen on the day. Please contact your coach/manager advising what you can help with. Items can be dropped off to the canteen on the morning of the tournament or taken along by the players themselves. Remember: by running a sausage sizzle and the canteen on the day, the Club raises all important funds for new equipment, trophies and new uniform items. Thanks must also go to our sponsors who help make the day a success: Sharon Maxwell and Ray White Manly, New World Whangaparaoa, Manly Park Kitchen, Stanmore Bay Leisure Centre, McDonalds, Charlie Coco’s, Hoyts, Ten Pin Bowling, Manly Price Cutter, James Crisp Ltd. Tasti, Snowplanet, G.J. Gardner, Executive Security Group and Sam at Fruitworld Stanmore Bay. Please support those who support us. Any questions please do not hesitate to make contact with Bianca bianca@studioeleven.co.nz Fingers crossed we get some great weather for the day! Whangaparaoa Primary School Netball Committee |
