Dear Parents and Students,
We hope you had a great holiday break with the children and welcome you back to a very exciting looking Term 2.
Our term is filling up already with touch base meetings, school cross country, and a schoolwide inquiry exploring the world of the Performing Arts.
TOUCH BASE MEETINGS
In Week 3 this Term, we are inviting parents to join their child and teacher to have a 15 minute meeting. The meeting is an opportunity to touch base and focus together on the child and their learning. These meetings will be held on Wednesday, May 16 from 1.30 to 6.30pm and Thursday May 17 from 3.15 - 5.30pm.
Please note parents will be asked to pick their child up at 1.00pm on Wednesday, May 16. This supports our teachers
and means they do not have to stay too late at night to get through their meetings.
HOW TO BOOK A TOUCH BASE MEETING TIME?
- Go to the website www.schoolinterviews.co.nz and enter our school code: xng44
- You will need your child’s 2018 year, classroom, and name of teacher, to complete your booking.
- Enter these details and choose a time that suits you. You will receive an emailed confirmation of your booking.
- If you are unable to complete your booking online, please either:
- Email firstname.lastname@example.org with child/rens names and preferred times
- Call into the school office and fill out a booking sheet.
SUPPORT FOR LINC-ED
If you are not yet set up on Linc-Ed please drop by the office prior to your Touch Base meeting time in week
3 for support in activating your account or adding Linc-Ed to a mobile device.
Support is available from:
1:00pm-6:00pm Wednesday, 16 May
2:45- 5:00pm Thursday, 17 May
Teachers will be focusing on discussing learning during your time slot, so please bring any tech issues to
the office, rather than the classroom teacher in order to maximise your time discussing your child's learning.
- Our staff are working late on Wednesday and Thursday to provide this opportunity. Please look after them.
- On a rare occasion when we have a parent come in who is upset about something; our advice is – Respect the
Person.“The problem is the problem; the person is never the problem” Control your emotions and think “How
can I help?”
AFTER SCHOOL CARE
If you have a regular booking on Wednesday - you
are automatically booked into After School Care at 1.30pm. There may be a few casual places on that day available
- please contact Karen on 021 705 804 to put your name on the list.

MATERIALS STILL NEEDED
In Term 2, our children will be inquiring into the World of Performance
Arts. We are still on the hunt for the following materials, which can be dropped to the office any time. Thank
you for your help!
Thank you for your help in gathering these materials. We may call for more materials throughout next term as the
children develop their ideas further..
