Dear Parents and Students,

Our school currently operates an enrolment scheme to prevent overcrowding. If you know someone who would like their child or children to attend our school, out of zone enrolment applications will be available from Friday 22nd of September through to Friday 20th of October. This opportunity will be for the 2018 school year. There are limited places available. Please email pa@wgp.school.nz for an application, a description of our zone and the ministry criteria for accepting an out of zone enrolment. Please note that if you have moved out of zone since enrolling your children, your children keep their enrolment entitlement. If you have any subsequent children you wish to enrol, who live out of zone at the time of wanting to enrol, you MUST fill out one of these applications.

PERFORMING ARTS AND CULTURAL FESTIVAL

Thanks everyone for your support. Organising something that involves our whole school is massive. We know there have been hiccups and we will learn from these.

It is just fantastic to showcase the many talents our children  have and I am grateful to have a staff who are willing to go beyond the call of duty to organise this.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Thanks everyone for a fantastic term with many highlights including camp and outdoor activities week, rippa, Learning Conferences, Year 2 Production, inter community dodgeball, netball tournaments, inquiry trips with a focus on migration, and of course our Cultural and Art Festival which concludes this evening. Many thanks to our supportive parents and hard working, committed staff who make these things happen. We do these things to help our children have the chance and choice to be the best they can be.

We hope everyone has relaxing, safe and fun holidays. See you on Monday October 16 !

Kevin
