Dear Parents and Students,
This week we celebrate OUR TEACHERS.
Please join with me in celebrating our teachers. We are incredibly fortunate to have staff who are committed to helping the students in Whangaparaoa learn and grow in all sorts of ways. There is a huge shortage of teachers in the Auckland area and a huge dropout of teachers in the profession.
We have recently advertised a teaching position and received over 30 applicants, which is fantastic. I believe there are 3 reasons for this: Whangaparaoa is a great place to live; there are exciting things happening at our school and we have a supportive community.
Our school vision of “Together we inspire learning” celebrates this whole notion of community, all working together and supporting each other. Let’s keep celebrating our teachers, and supporting them so they stay in Whangaparaoa !
