PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS One of the best parts of my job is getting out of the office and having
some time to spend with our children. They are just delightful - so well mannered, enthusiastic and talented in
so many ways. The other thing I really enjoy is being part of a great staff that is committed to providing a range
of diverse and exciting learning opportunities and experiences for the children.

School Office, 39 Ladies Mile, Manly, 0930.
THANK YOU PARENTS Our staff would like to extend a big thank you for sharing some time with us
last Thursday to talk about your child. We know that by working together we can be very effective in helping your
child grow.
FAMILY FIRST One of the things we prioritise as a staff is the concept of family first. This
means if there was ever a call from family for help we would encourage our staff to go quickly, and as a staff,
we would help out.
Likewise when our teachers go home, we expect them to put family first. We need them to rest, have other interests
and have time with their family.
In terms of school work, we expect our teachers to prepare well for the next day, and in relation to emails, we
would expect our teachers to react to parents within a 48 hour period during the school week. Society today tends
to expect a rapid response. We want our teachers to have a life outside the workplace, and come to school fresh
each day, ready to teach and learn with children.
SCHOOL DONATIONS The current governments decision to give $150 per child as a form of school donation
for Decile 1 to 7 schools means we miss out on $110,000 for our school each year. This means if we want to provide
the best teachers and learning environment, we need continued community support. We ask you all to consider paying
the school donation, or as much as you can, so we can keep extending the learning for your children. Thank you
to those who have already done this - every little bit helps.
